OFFSET YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT
At Pelumbra Ltd, we try our best to be as sustainable as possible, but sometimes you just have to travel.
A carbon offset scheme is an initiative that reduces the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to compensate for unavoidable carbon emissions. There are two main ways to do this: one is to preserve and enlarge existing woodlands and greenery to further absorb carbon from the atmosphere, and the other is to prevent the release of future emissions through investment in the use of renewable energy sources rather than traditional fossil fuels. Both have likely impacts themselves (eg new forests can reduce available land for agriculture).
You can follow this link to estimate the amount of carbon emitted by your travel and give you choices about which activities you will support in order to offset that amount.
