Emma Watton
Emma has over 25 years of leadership development experience, initially in the Financial Services sector and more recently in Higher Education.
Emma was the programme director of the Lancaster University Executive MBA programme for four years with cohorts of executive managers participating in the programme from the UK, Malaysia and Ghana.
Emma felt privileged to have worked as a visiting faculty member for six years at the Centre for Humanitarian Leadership which offers leadership development programmes for practising managers in the humanitarian aid sector.
She is currently an external examiner for the Henley Business School on their coaching programmes.
A self-confessed ‘writing retreat junkie’, Emma has been a regular attendee at writing retreats both in the UK and in Europe and sees these as essential time to write on her book chapters and academic journal articles. Whilst Emma’s work is primarily on the topic of leadership learning she has also written articles on sustainability, personal values, and the benefits of job sharing. Emma’s work has been featured in academic books and journals, The Guardian newspaper and Times Higher Education.
